Long Island is located southeast of the Exuma Cays, approximately 150 miles southeast of Nassau. The island is about 70 miles long and 4 miles wide. Cape Santa Maria, rated one of the best beaches in the world, can be found on Long Island. Other areas of interest include Clarence Town (the island's 

largest town), Stella Maris, and Deadman's Cay. The island has a population of approximately 3,600. The island is also the most elevated island in the Bahamas.
