Grand Bahama Island

The infrastructure of Grand Bahama Island is second to none, with 400 miles of wide roadways, freshwater capable of supporting 250,000 people, a clean environment, no pollution, and a mild subtropical climate with an average humidity of 75% and an average temperature of 72° F. The Island is cooled by the Gulf Stream.

Grand Bahama Island is approximately 96 miles long and 17 miles wide at its widest point. It is located only 60 miles from West Palm Beach, Florida. There are miles of excellent deep waterways, making it ideal for boaters. There are also many miles of magnificent powder-white

sandy beaches, which are never crowded. The island also has modern educational and health facilities, cable television, duty-free shopping, a cosmopolitan night life, and every type of activity under the sun, including snorkeling, diving, horse riding, golf, sailing, and fishing.

One thing that will strike you is the extremely friendly people – and this can be said about all the family islands.

The main areas are Lucaya Market Place, International Bazaar, and the West End.
