The Winter Sleep is a, fact through
fantasy, story of hibernation. The hard-cover
(8x10)book is 45 pages with 25 colored illustrations.
It is complimented by a full color illustrated
front and back (as well as a colored illustrated
jacket).
It was written for children 3 through 9- Grades
Pre-kindergarten through 3rd grade.
Little Bunny loves to play. One day he finds all
his woodland friends have disappeared. Little
Bunny's Mother takes him on a journey to see his
friends in their many hibernation spots.
The book gives a general overview of hibernation
to acquaint the young child with the word and
meaning. A secondary message of the diversity of
human characteristics is shown through animals.
ie: patience, tolerance, acceptance,
thoughtfulness and self-protection.
